Atypical Uses for Prohire

Atypical Uses for Prohire

The vast majority of Prohire customers use Prohire to manage vehicle rental.

However, occasionally we do notice that some customers use the system in innovative ways to manage non-vehicle rental activites.

Some of these are storage bins, vehicle sales, office spaces, trailers, caravans just to name a few.

When people decide to do this using Prohire we recommend that they use a 'virtual site' to do this (click here for more on 'virtual sites').

A custom rental agreement is sometimes needed to accommodate the different types of rentals and different rules and regulations.

A major advantage of using Prohire for such non-vehicle rentals is that you can take full advantage of the Interim Billing feature (click here for more). This feature allows the user to invoice a customer on a regular basis.

Tip :-  When adding in a non-vehicle item it will fail each time on the 'vehicle lookup', unless you add this in select the make lookup button. Create a new make and model and select it against it. (see below)

Let us know of any inventive ways that you're using Prohire!
