How to setup your Christmas web tariffs in Prohire

How to setup your Christmas web tariffs in Prohire

A little known feature of the tariff setup is that you can have seasons tariffs based on any session dates -- Christmas tariffs are a perfect example of when to have them.

What you will need to do to setup a seasonal tariff.

  1. Search for your existing web based tariff, in my example it’s called WEB2011

  2. Select a tariff & click the 'copy' button on the tool bar.
  3. When asked “Would you like to copy all tariffs for rate WEB2011?” Answer YES
  4. Then enter new tariff rate name, in my example I will enter WEBXMAS2013
  5. When asked “Would you like to increase the rental tariff”? Answer NO
  6. Prohire will then begin to copy all the WEB2011 tariffs & call them WEBXMAS2013
  7. Now go into each WEBXMAS2013 tariff & set its 'Valid From', 'Valid To date' to the dates you would like the tariff to cover

  8. You could mark the tariff to be a “Promotional Tariff” via the relevant tick box.

NOTE: if you do mark the tariff as a “Promotional Tariff” then the online user must enter the promotion code in to the widget/Iframe & this must be the same as the tariff name i.e. WEBXMAS2013

NOTE: If “Promotional Tariff” tick box cannot be seen then it needs to be turned on via the main setup --> web bookings tab.

Once you have set this up, your customer can access the prices depending on when they are booking. If booking within the tariff date rang they will get the price, if the booking falls outside these dates then they will get the standard price.
