Need specific information from your Allocation Chart?

Need specific information from your Allocation Chart?

If you have a large fleet and/or multiple sites it can become quite difficult to search the Allocation Chart for a particular vehicle or even vehicles that you have available. However help is at hand in that the Allocation Chart provides you with a number of options that will allow you to filter the vehicles on the chart to display all the vehicles that you want. In this blog I am going to take a look at filters you have available and how you can use them.

When you look in the bottom right hand corner of your Allocation Chart you will find a selection of filters that you can apply. The first set of filters that you can use is under “Status”, this filter by default shows you all the vehicles you currently have on fleet, but by selecting “Available” you can then reduce this list to only display vehicles not currently ON HIRE or you can select “VOR” ('Vehicle off Road') and this list will then be filtered to only show you vehicles that have been marked as VOR.

We next have a selection of site filters allowing you to view vehicles based on their current site with another filter allowing you to view vehicles based on their Base site.  Depending on how your system has been configured it might be that not all your sites will be visible for you to select.  Next is a “Date” filter allowing you to manually select a date rather than having to use the Scroll Left and Right buttons.

Below this Date filter is a “Group” filter - this drop down list allows you to select only vehicles that belong to groups you have selected from this filter. It will only show you groups for vehicles that are currently on fleet.  The “Model” filter allows you to quickly filter out vehicles that do not belong to the particular models you have selected.

The final drop down filter we have is “Category”; this filter shows you the types of vehicle you have on fleet and then by using this filter you can reduce the vehicles being displayed to you.  The last filter we have to look at is “Reg No”; this filter is really useful if you are looking to find a particular vehicle you have on fleet. As the system will filter out your vehicles as you starting typing you can quickly find the vehicle you are looking for by just entering a couple of characters of its registration number.
