Vehicle Colour Survey: The Results

Vehicle Colour Survey: The Results

Thank you to all my readers who completed the survey attached to my previous blog. Although a small sample, the results matched those of a larger national survey on car colour, with the top three colours; white, silver and black remaining your fleet favourites.

The results of the survey are as follows:

Q1:

'Other' responses include:

  • Only on specialist cars e.g. MGTF (green normal request)
  • Sometimes for a wedding or funeral
  • Very, very rarely but it has been known in the past. Companies tend to request white, non-sign written vans though.

Q2:

The bottom green bar represents " there isn't a most requested colour".

Q3:

'Other' responses include:

  • Usually exclude green (sometimes refused hire as most likely colour to have accident)
  • Vans - white, cars - no certain colour
  • All of our vans are white with no exception. Cars - we're not really fussed!
  • Yes - but try to keep a variety around this.

Q4:

The bottom blue bar represents "No colour preference".

Q5:

Thanks again to everyone who took the time to submit our survey!

In other news, I recently travelled to Gatwick airport to drop off a friend for a week’s holiday in the Canaries. While returning, I had a small incident that left me stranded on the M23 waiting for a recovery vehicle. As shared in another recent blog, I was very well prepared. I had, my mobile phone to contact the relevant organisations to help me, I had water and food together with a warm blanket, umbrella and sturdy boots to wait up on the bank. Both the Highway Agency Traffic Police and the recovery company were very impressed with my Girl Guide resolve so I was pleased I had listened to my own advice.

While waiting for the recovery vehicle I passed the time client spotting and I saw, vans from:

Heathrow Self Drive

Hunt Trucks Ltd

Kendall Cars Ltd

And

Smart Platform Rental Ltd

So a successful afternoon’s work me thinks!
